People face difficult life experiences like encountering a serious illness, parenting a special child, facing mental health issues, developing an addiction and so on. Healing from such situations is a gradual process over a long period of time.
One of the best ways to heal ourselves is to spend time with other people in similar circumstances. This is enabled by support groups, where people find empathy from others and vice versa. They are peer-led groups which meet regularly to motivate and encourage each other to face the situations boldly through exchanging experiences and finding solutions.
